A cloud forest is a type of forest where there are clouds covering the area and the humidity of the clouds provide water for the trees and other foliage.

You can enjoy many species of animals and birds in the Monteverde Cloud Forest. Some of the most popular include: howler monkeys, snakes, many types of birds such as hummingbirds and the beautiful quetzal.

There are eight different trails connecting the park and ready to be explored. The protected area of the reserve is open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m, admission to the park costs $12 and children under 10 years old enter for free.

The famous skywalk is an interesting way to see the park. This system is comprised of bridges and platforms high above the rainforest floor. This is an excellent way to get a different view of all the park has to offer.

It is recommended to travel to the park with warm clothes, ponchos, and comfortable hiking boots. Do not forget to bring a camera and your sense of adventure.
